MR Prereq 1: Storage & Collection of Recyclables
To satisfy this prereq, the buiding must provide for an area that is dedicated to the separation, collection and storage of materials of at least paper, corrugated cardboard, glass, plastic and metal. [fyi: you must remember this for the exam!]
The minimum recycling area requirement ranges from 82 sf - 500 sf depending on the square footage of the building.
*** An interesting note is that of all the building types, hospitals generates the most amount of solid waste/day!
