We all know there will be significant differences between LEED 2.2 and LEED 2009, but did you know that you can no longer call yourself a LEED AP after this summer? Starting this summer, there will be three types of LEED credentials:
Tier 1: LEED Green Associates
Tier 2: LEED AP+
Tier 3: LEED AP Fellow
And for those of us are currently LEED APs, we will have to change our title to Legacy APs!

Starting August 2009 the GBCI will assign a date for LEED-AP's without specialty to enroll in the credentialing program. This will gicve the LEED-AP 2 years to enroll in the program and provide the CEU's. Once the LEED-AP registers in the Credentialing program they will have to choose a specialty. If they took the NC exam they will have to choose BD+C. If they previouslyhad taken the CI exam they will choose ID+C. EB will now be OM.
LEED-AP's who do not choose to enroll in the credentialing program will still be able to call themselves LEE-AP but they will not be able to act as a LEED-AP after July 2011. No one will have to refer to themselves as Legacy AP as this is not a formal title.
The best LEED exam study for me was to continuously take online practice exams. A good LEED study guide is also very important. Try Leed GA. They have an excellent study guide and the online test questions are exactly like the real test. Leed AP Leed Prep
