EA Credit 6: Green Power

Energy production is a big contributor to air pollution in the United States; therefore, the use of alternative energy sources such as solar, water, wind, biomass, and geothermal energy sources should be encouraged. That is the intent of EA credit 6: Green Power. To obtain this point, 50% of the building's energy must come from a renewable energy source with at least a two-year contract.

Refer to Green-e Program for the available choices in each state.

*If green power is not available in your state, TRCs[tradable renewable energy certificates] can be used instead.

** You must familiarize yourself with the different renewable energy options for the exam.

I believe it is 35% of your energy must come from green power, not 50%

We could help shed some light on the E&C Green Power Credit. We have a free webinar video and PDF guide. We're the #1 supplier of green power for this credit in the U.S. so have worked up some helpful tools and review of the sales process. ~ Heather

Excellent initiative, I think the green power is the further conviction. We need more time to learn about this energy, like Germans does. They're investigating about new ways to make biomass. We need more ingenious people.

This is amazing because if we used the technology and invention they have we would have a better world, the world need more minds thinking like that.

the only downside of the solar power. it is that the first investment is quite steep, I would choose something different. because the solar panels are expensive and alto the transformation.
