Tip #4: Synergy is Key!

It is not enough to memorize all the LEED points only. It is essential to understand the “synergy” portion of the scoring system. You need to know how the points are inter-related. For example, storm water management is related to heat island effect [roof] etc.

Be sure to read the synergy part of the Reference Guide. Most impotantly, try to make connections between the points. If you have a copy of the Colorado Guide, you will find many synergy examples. This is really a must read!
